Questions We Get a Lot

A fire pit table combines a functional surface — great for setting drinks or decor — with a built-in burner at the center, making it a natural gathering point for seating arrangements. A standalone column or bowl-style fire pit is typically more of a focal piece on its own, often offering a more sculptural presence in the space. Both styles run on propane and deliver real, visible flame without the smoke of a wood-burning setup.

Propane fire pits burn cleanly and produce little to no smoke compared to wood-burning alternatives, which makes them far more comfortable in close quarters. That said, always check the manufacturer's clearance guidelines before placing any open-flame appliance under a structure — adequate ventilation overhead is essential. When in doubt, position your fire pit in an open or semi-open area of your patio for the best and safest experience.

BTU ratings measure the maximum heat energy a burner can produce per hour — higher BTU models are noticeably warmer at a distance and perform better on cooler evenings. For casual ambiance on mild nights, a unit in the 30,000–40,000 BTU range is typically satisfying. If you entertain in a larger outdoor space or live somewhere with cool evenings well into spring and fall, a high-output model in the 60,000 BTU range will make a more meaningful difference in comfort.

About Our Fire Pits

A fire pit transforms an ordinary patio into a place people want to stay. Whether the goal is quiet evenings with a glass of wine or lively gatherings that stretch past sunset, an outdoor fire pit provides the warmth, light, and visual anchor that pulls a backyard space together. Propane-powered designs are especially well suited to modern outdoor living — they ignite quickly with electronic or push-button ignition, burn without the ash and smoke of wood, and can be turned off instantly when the evening winds down. When choosing a fire pit, consider how it will fit within your existing layout: a fire pit table with a surrounding surface works beautifully at the center of a seating arrangement, while a column or freestanding design makes a strong standalone statement. BTU output matters for genuine warmth, particularly in cooler climates or larger open spaces. Material and finish — whether concrete, steel, or ceramic — should complement the aesthetic of your patio and hold up to your local weather conditions. The right fire pit doesn't just heat a space; it defines it.
